ED's is a percentage measure of the connection time.
If the magnet are suppose to work shorter (lower ED), you can increase voltage and get more power.
This push solenoid has a recommended connection time at 25% when running on 24V voltage.
100% ED at 12V
Stated holding power applies in ideal conditions without safety factor.
