Neodymium is the strongest magnetmaterial on the market.
Ferrite is weaker, but is the cheapest material and can handle higher temperatures.
Alnico is the weakest material. But can withstand extreme temperatures.
SmCo is fairly strong and can handle high temperatures. Also most expensive material.
Our magnetcalculator is a handy tool to specify the holding force for each permanent -magnet.
